Microfiction: Class Anthology Submission
Hello all! I finished my work for the course early (hence my recent inactivity) but was asked if I wanted to contribute a microfiction work for class anthology. I will write a post with access to the anthology when it becomes public, but I wanted to go ahead and post my submission here. Microfiction is telling a story in 100 words or less. As seen by my previous stories, I tend to tell long, sweeping tales, so this was a creative challenge. However, the challenge of it gave me the impetus needed to tell a story about myself. I hope you enjoy. Mi Solecito: Bruised arms and dark thoughts. Tears keep coming as my mind races and spirals. Shadows cover everything and I feel so alone. "You have every right to leave, You deserve better than what I can offer." You kiss my arms and hold me close. Tears mingle with my own as you hold me tight. Your presence chases away every shadow. "I'm not going anywhere, love. We weather this storm together." Thank you for staying. Tha
